“Show me how to love like You.”, a young man prays. “Are you sure?”, Christ whispers. “With all my heart, Lord. Well..with all that’s left of it.”, he replies. “My love never seems to be enough for anyone…”, the young man adds. “I feel you.” his Maker replies. “You do?” the man whispers. “More than you can imagine.” the Son replies with a soft smile.
“I have to tell you, there won’t be anything left of that heart of yours when I show you how. The only way I can show you how is when you surrender to me all of your heart and receive mine in its place.” He said with a soft voice. “but if I give you all of my heart, won’t it kill me?” the young man, replied with fear in his voice.
“Yes, It will.” He replied.
“won’t it kill You,too.” the young man asked.
“It already did…”
“but, now, you have nothing to fear because when I did, I conquered death and the Spirit that brought me back to Life will bring you back too. you have to believe, surrender, and let my heart take over.”
“Okay… I surrender.”
the young man lowers his head, folds his fingers together, closes his eyes and let his heart beat its last.
